One full pump of the 8 fl oz bottle dispenses approximately 1.6 mL. Pump counts are approximate and vary with pump stroke. Use the mL measure to reproduce a percentage. Measure the 2 fl oz mini concentrate with a graduated measure; its cap is not equivalent to a pump.

Original Formula 32 fl oz contains 5% concentrate and is ready to use. Foam is also ready to use. The following tables are for Super Concentrated.

Prepare 32 fl oz of final solution (approximately 946 mL)

Measure concentrate, then add water to reach 32 fl oz of final solution. Do not add these doses to 32 fl oz of water. Percentages mean concentrate by final volume.

Application Strength Concentrate Full pumps
Compatible glass 1.25% 11.8 mL About 7½
Routine kitchen cleaning; spot treatment on compatible rugs 5% 47.3 mL About 30
Heavy kitchen grease; heavy rug spots; compatible tires and wheels 10% 94.6 mL About 59
Compatible metal parts with very heavy grease 20% 189.3 mL About 118

Start with the lower strength indicated for the task. Spot-test a hidden area, let dry and inspect color, finish, texture and cleaning before treating a larger area. The 10% and 20% strengths are reserved for the listed applications that tolerate them; they are not universal doses. Rinse or fully remove residue. Rug concentrations above are for localized spots, not extractor tanks.

Practical doses by application

References based on Cleaninator use trials. In this table measure the water first, then add concentrate. Gallons and fluid ounces are U.S. units.

Application Water Full pumps
Sedan, foam cannon 1 liter of water in reservoir 8
Honda Odyssey, foam cannon 1 liter of water in reservoir 10
Cool, switched-off engine, foam cannon 500 mL of water in reservoir 8
Manual mopping 4 gallons of water 6
Washable concrete 5 gallons of water 20
General manual washing of compatible rugs 5 gallons of water About 19 (1 fl oz / 29.6 mL)
Hand dishwashing 12 fl oz of water (355 mL) 4
Clothes washer, large load Cycle water; only equipment compatible with foaming detergents 10

Performance depends on soil, surface and method; 2,000 square feet was the area in the mopping trial, not guaranteed coverage. A foam cannon introduces additional water, so reservoir strength is not the concentration reaching the surface. Protect electrical connections and components; do not spray intakes or electrical parts. For clothing, follow garment and washer directions; this does not authorize use in HE or low-foam equipment. Do not use these doses in automatic dishwashers or extractors. For hand dishwashing, wash with a sponge and rinse thoroughly with potable water.

Sealed wood

Only on finishes that permit water and detergent, after spot-testing and without soaking. Removing grease and conditioner residues may reveal pre-existing wear or dullness. Cleaning does not restore varnish. Do not use on unsealed wood or deteriorated finishes.

Prepare only what is needed in a clean, compatible, labeled container. Add water first and concentrate slowly; avoid splashes, excess foam and overfilling. Label product, ratio and date. Results may vary. Restrictions apply.

Choosing water temperature

  • Room temperature: the default for preparing a solution and general manual cleaning.
  • Cold water: use when the care label requires it and for initial treatment of protein stains such as blood, milk or egg; heat can set these stains.
  • Lukewarm water: may assist greasy-soil removal when both the material’s care directions and product label permit it.
  • Hot water: use only where the product and item instructions specifically permit it. Never use boiling water or heat the cleaner. Avoid burns, splashes, thermal shock and damage to dyes, coatings or adhesives. Never put hot liquid in a spray or foam bottle.

Account for ambient conditions: work out of direct sunlight, allow hot surfaces to cool, and prevent the cleaning solution from drying during contact time. Do not increase water temperature solely because the weather is cold.

Directions after dilution

Dilute before use; never apply concentrate undiluted.

  1. Prepare and spot-test. Read the label and material care instructions. Test the product and cleaning tool on a small hidden area; let dry and inspect color, finish and texture before proceeding.
  2. Apply. Prepare the solution following the concentrate dilution guide below. Apply the diluted solution using a compatible spray bottle, cloth, sponge or mop.
  3. Let soil loosen. Allow about 1–5 minutes for adhered, dried or aged dirt, only as the material permits. Keep the area moist and do not let cleaner dry; stop sooner if any adverse change appears.
  4. Agitate. Rub or scrub using a cloth, microfiber towel, sponge, non-scratch pad, or soft-, medium- or stiff-bristle brush appropriate for the material. Stiff brushes and abrasive pads may damage finishes; test the tool and adjust pressure.
  5. Remove soil and residue. Wipe away loosened soil. Rinse with clean water where the material permits, or wipe with a clean water-dampened cloth, changing or rinsing the cloth as needed. Finish with a clean dry cloth or allow the material to dry after removing residue. A dry cloth alone may leave detergent behind. Rinse food-contact surfaces with potable water.

Washable clothing and stains

Follow garment care instructions and spot-test colorfastness. Use the prepared diluted solution; never pour undiluted concentrate onto fabric. Work gently and launder according to the garment label before the cleaner dries. Do not saturate upholstery or padding; use only on materials that permit water cleaning.

Surfaces and application examples

Use Cleaninator on washable surfaces compatible with water and detergent, following the care instructions for the material. Before treating a larger area, test a small hidden spot with a small amount of product. Let it dry completely and inspect cleaning performance, color, finish and texture. Proceed only if the result is satisfactory and the material shows no adverse change. Listing a surface does not authorize applying concentrate undiluted.

Area Examples Conditions
Kitchen and grease Cool stovetops, range hoods, sinks, appliance exteriors, compatible washable surfaces and dishes. Remove residue and potable-water rinse food-contact items. Avoid controls, connections and hot parts.
Bathrooms and floors Compatible washable tile, grout, sinks, showers, tubs and flooring. For washable bathroom surfaces. Mineral-deposit results depend on material and deposit type. Remove residue and leave floors free of slippery conditions.
Glass and stainless steel Glass without special coatings, compatible sinks and stainless-steel surfaces. Use an appropriate cloth, remove detergent and follow the finish direction where applicable. Coatings require specific care instructions.
Clothing and textiles Washable white or colored clothing, workwear, carpets, rugs, compatible seats and water-cleanable upholstery. Check care labels/codes, test colorfastness and avoid saturating padding. Do not soak materials whose care instructions prohibit it.
Footwear and Foam Kit Sneakers and shoes made of compatible washable materials; small spots on textiles, sofas and seats. Foam is sold only in a kit; test the brush too. Do not assume suitability for leather, suede, adhesives or delicate finishes.
Vehicles and workplaces Washable exteriors, mats, compatible seats, machinery surfaces and accessible parts of cool, switched-off engines. Protect electrical components, intakes and connections; follow vehicle/equipment directions. Avoid hot or energized surfaces and contaminated runoff.
Washable objects Compatible washable toys and objects. For compatible washable toys. Check materials and coatings; rinse thoroughly, especially anything that may be mouthed. Keep cleaner away from children.
Other washable household surfaces Washable trash bins, unpowered hand tools, handles, shelves, plastic outdoor furniture and household plastic parts. Check the material’s care instructions. Test the cleaning solution and tool on a small hidden area, let dry and inspect before proceeding.

Do not assume compatibility with unsealed stone or wood, specialty coatings, screens, electrical components, leather, suede, silk or wool. Such materials require specific instructions. For professional use, product safety documentation and workplace conditions determine additional precautions.

Precautions

Use in a well-ventilated area. Wear suitable protective gloves and eye protection. Avoid breathing mist and contact with eyes. Do not ingest. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not mix with bleach or other cleaners. Wash hands after use. Follow the product label and safety data sheet. Cleaning does not mean disinfection. Results may vary.
